You Start Installing your Dstv, Hitv, Multitv, Infinitytv and mytv by yourself. You might not need any installer to instal for you again. We are going to be using strong dish and decoder as an example. What you need to do is to follow the steps below:
1. Go to the nearest dealer around you to purchase you complete strong satellite cables.
2. Remove the accessories of your dishes and fit them together following the steps in the manure giving using spanner 10 and 14.
3. Nail your base to a firm object preferably facial board, erected pole or the wall.
4. Put your assembled dish on the base.
5. Most of the satellite we view in Nigeria is located in the east. So make sure your dish is facing the east ( where the sun is rising in the morning)
6. Connect your cable which is normally coaxial cable from your LNB on your dish outside to your decoder inside with help of RF connector
6. Before you start tracking outside, you need to program your strong decoder depending on the service provider you want to view. Dstv multichoice is broadcasting to Eutesat W4 with frequency 12245 and symbol rate 27500. programming of your decoder will be explained in detail in the next post.
7. On your decoder, press menu, ok installation enter pin which is normally 0000 for strong decorder. Go to manual scan, enter your frequency and symbol rate.
8. You can now start Tracking. Tracking is searching for signal by moving your dish up and down until the dish is facing the desired satellite in the space. This is known when the red colour on your decoder changes to green. Green color on your decoder shows that your signal has been detected by your decoder through the dish from your desired satellite.
